Day 1: Arrival to Beijing

Sightseeing: Today you arrive to the magnificent Chinese capital Beijing and are transferred to your hotel for check-in. You can spend the rest of the day, relaxing or exploring the city on your own.

Day 2: Train to Ulan Bator

Meals: Breakfast box
After check-out from the hotel, you travel to the capital of Mongolia, Ulan Bator by train. 

Day 3: Arrival in Ulan Bator & Free Day

Transport: A private driver
Accommodation: Best Western Premier Tuushin Hotel, Ulan Bator
Meals: Not included
Sightseeing: Upon your arrival to Ulan Bator, you are transferred to the hotel and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 4: Visiting the Gandan Monastery & Trip to Gorkhi-Terelji National Park

Accommodation: Tourist Ger Camp, Mongolia
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
Sightseeing: Following breakfast, you meet the guide who takes you to the legendary Mongolian Buddhist Gandan Monastery. After exploring this amazing place, you continue your adventure from Ulan Bator to the picturesque Gorkhi-Terelji National Park where you visit the amazing Turtle Rock and enter the Aryabal Temple. Moreover, you have an overnight in a traditional Mongolian yurt in order to get closer to the local culture.

Day 5: Meeting a Nomadic Family, Genghis Khan Statue & Folk Show

Accommodation: Best Western Premier Tuushin Hotel, Ulan Bator
Meals: Breakfast
Sightseeing: Your today's agenda starts with meeting a Nomadic family who will teach you some local traditions and way of life. After that  you get to the banks of the Tuul River where a huge statue of Genghis Khan is located. Following a lunch break, you make your way to the picturesque Zaisan Hill to enjoy the best views of Ulan Bator and its surroundings. At the end of the day you attend the State National Song and Dance Academic Ensemble of Mongolia to see an amazing Mongolian folk show.


Day 6: Ulan Bator Sightseeing Tour

Transport: Transfer to the station, Ulan-Bator to Irkutsk train
Meals: Breakfast
Sightseeing: After check-out you go on a guided tour around the brightest attractions of Ulan Bator. Firstly you explore the National Museum of Mongolia, preserving some outstanding collections of Mongolian cultural heritage. Then you walk along the main streets of the city, see the Parlament house and the central Sukhbaatar Square. In the evening you board a train to Irkutsk.

Day 7: Arrival in Irkutsk & Transfer to Listvyanka Village

Sightseeing: Upon your arrival to Irkutsk, you are met by your guide and transferred to the nearby Listvyanka Village.

Day 8: Listvyanka Village Tour & Baikal Museum

Sightseeing: Today your day is dedicated to the exploration of the "Blue Eye of Siberia", famous Lake Baikal. You start the day with a guided tour to Listvyanka Village and the Baikal Limnological Museum and Aquarium. To get some truly postcard-like views of Baikal, you get the nearby viewpoint, followed by visiting the 19th century St. Nicolas church.

Day 9: Trip to Taltsy Village & Transfer to Irkutsk

Transport: A private driver

Sightseeing: The day is dedicated to a trip to an open-air museum that provides some fine examples of outstanding wooden architecture, Taltsy Village. Afterwards, you get transferred to Irkutsk where you check in to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.


Day 10: Irkutsk City Tour

Meals: Breakfast, meal on board
Sightseeing: Following breakfast, you check out from the hotel and have a guided tour around Irkutsk. A so-called "Paris of Siberia" has a lot in store, including the most popular meeting place among the locals - Angara River embankment, the only Catholic Cathedral in Irkutsk - the Polish Roman Church and the Byzantine style Kazan Church. Afterwards, you continue your journey to the final destination of the trip, gorgeous Moscow.

Sightseeing: Today you take a true art therapy, visiting the world's largest collection of the Russian fine art, located in the Tretyakov Gallery. After that you have a subway ride around one of the most beautiful metro systems in the world - Moscow Subway. The other highlights of the day include the spectacular Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Sparrow Hills and the grand building of Moscow State University.

Day 15: Exploring the Kremlin, Armoury Chamber & the Heart of Moscow

Sightseeing: Meeting your guise you set off on an extensive Moscow city tour. Today you explore the very heart of fantastic Moscow - the Red Square and the Kremlin. Then you discover fancy collections in the famous Armoury Chamberhat, which houses unique crown jewels, coronation finery and world-famous Fabergé eggs. You also go inside the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral and GUM department store.​

Day 16: Departure from Moscow

Sightseeing: This is the final day of your Trans-Siberian journey! Following breakfast, you are transferred to the airport for your flight back home.

What to know

  • For each departure, we arrange a private detachable car. So over the course of the journey, you can keep your luggage aboard;
  • There are no ATMs on a train, so have some roubles on you;
  • Tips in Russia are expected. Typical tip size is 10% of the check. Allow around $8-10 a day to your guides and drivers too.
